You practice real, spoken mock interviews with an on-screen AI mentor named Faria, then get honest feedback, help shaping your STAR stories, quick daily drills, and prep sheets to carry into the real thing. Your first full practice interview is free — you sign in with just your email (a magic link, no password).
Sign in & start free
- Open the home page.
- Choose “Meet Faria — start free”.
- Enter your email. We send you a one-time magic link — open it and you are in. No password to remember.
Set up your profile
- Complete the quick intake so Faria can tailor your practice to you.
- Import your résumé so Faria pulls real material from your background into the questions.
- Edit your profile anytime as your goals or target role change.
Run a practice interview
- From home, choose “Start a practice interview”.
- Faria asks each question out loud; you answer by speaking, and your words are turned into text automatically.
- Turn on translated subtitles to follow along in your language.
- You can see and speak with Faria's on-screen character.
- End the session when you are done — your questions and answers are saved.
Review & feedback
- Open a session's “View review”.
- Read Faria's feedback on your answers, plus a Presentation & Presence summary of your delivery — pace, filler words, and, if your camera was on, descriptive presence signals.
- Every note is a fixable tip, never a judgement.
- Reopen any past review whenever you like.
Prep sheet & PDF
From any review you can export the review as a PDF and download a one-page role prep sheet to take into the real interview.
STAR stories
Build structured STAR stories in your own words — Faria never invents experiences for you — and reuse them across interviews.
Questions to ask them
From a review, generate thoughtful questions to ask a real interviewer. They are saved so you can reuse them.
Daily drills & streak
Open “Today's drills”, do a short exercise, and come back to build a gentle practice streak.
Track progress
Your progress dashboard shows your practice history and how you are trending over time.
Preferences
Open settings to make the app yours. There you can:
- Pick your theme — Light, Dark, or Auto (match your device). It applies instantly and is remembered.
- Reduce animationsacross the app, or let it follow your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Set whether live captionsstart on or off during practice, and choose the language they're translated into. Faria always speaks English.
Faria's voice and whether her on-screen character is shown aren't in settings — you choose those each time, right before you start a practice interview.
Plans & billing
On the pricing page, choose a plan, check out securely, and manage or cancel anytime. Prices are shown in US dollars.
Privacy & trust
Afarean is a practice tool — it never screens or ranks you for employers. You consent to exactly what is recorded before anything is recorded; your camera frames never leave your device (only a short presence summary is stored); and the app never tries to infer your emotions. You can permanently delete your account and its data anytime.
